MRI PROTOCOLS &TECHNIQUE OF SPINE



CIRVICAL SPINE

Position: Supine, the head in the Neurovascular (NV) Coil.
Give cushions under the legs for comfort.
Centre laser beam 2 cm blew the chin.
Sequence: sagittal T2, T1, Stir.
Coronal: stir/ FAT SAT.
Transverse: T2, T1.GRE.
 
Sagittal: Sagittal plan on coronal or axial image using Block line parallel to spinal cord and check the position of block on other plane with appropriate angle. Coverage whole cervical spine or Pons to D2-D3 vertebra.

Coverage whole thoracic spine or C6 or to L2-L3 vertebra.

Saturation band must be placed over the spine.
